I’m Anas Beshir, the Development Assistant at the FYI! My professional background is in secondary and higher education management, business analytics in social work and healthcare IT, and micro-bio research. I’m from the North East, where I’ve been involved with various muslim community centers and organizations as a member, student, activist, advisor, khateeb, coordinator, and chaplain. I am pursuing a Masters of Islamic Religious Leadership at the Boston Islamic Seminary (currently taking a semester off) and I have a BA in Biology from Boston College. I’m a huge fan of all things nature – camping, hiking, and fishing. Some of my hobbies include learning about mental health and healing, pottery, and writing.
