Roun Said is a licensed mental health therapist, doctoral student, and a community-engaged researcher. Roun received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Dayton. Currently, she is working on her PhD in Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota. Her research interests are related to bicultural and tricultural adolescents/emerging adults, cultural integration, and their psychological well-being. Roun’s work incorporates her Somali identity with the inclusion of narratives, story-telling, and collaborative community building.
