Belal Elkadri is a Community Outreach Specialist at The Family & Youth Institute. Belal is passionate about Mental Health and youth, and works in multiple capacities in this regard.
At The FYI, Belal is focused on bringing the resources to the community for utilization on the ground. Belal also works at ACCESS, the nation’s largest Arab American non-profit organization, as a Mental Health Coordinator. Through his role, he oversees the Supported Employment Program which helps individuals with mental health needs find employment and work towards self sufficiency. Belal also works with MUHSEN to create a better understanding of disabilities in our communities and building a better future.
Belal is also a youth worker and speaker in the Metro Detroit area. His current mission is to challenge the stigmas plaguing the community and bridging the gap through education. Belal’s mission is echoed and inspired by Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) who once said, “Whoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the Hereafter.”
