Hena Din is a Research Assistant with the Family and Youth Institute. She holds a Master’s in Public Health, with a focus on Health Promotion/Behavioral Science, from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s in Biology from University of California, San Diego. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Public Health, specializing in Health Behavior at University of California, San Diego.

In addition, Hena serves as a Surgical Research Coordinator at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Her past experience includes working at the Institute for Behavioral and Community Health (IBACH) and Johnson & Johnson. Hena is a Certified Health Education Specialist and her experience includes program evaluation, research management, and training students on the principles of public health research.

Hena has been a community organizer for the last 10 years. She is currently involved in the Muslim American Society,  and past experience with the Muslim Student AssociationStudent Health Advocates, and the Americorps: Students in Service program.
