Huda holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and a Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature from Yarmouk University in Jordan. She is currently serving as an adjunct professor of Sociology at the John Tyler Community College. Her past experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the VCU – L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs – Department of Sociology. Moreover, she has worked on various projects at the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), the VCU Transportation Safety Training Center, and the Community Health Solutions.

Huda has participated in a wide range of projects where she was involved in analyzing high risk behaviors of minority and vulnerable groups, developing a policy framework for at risk urban girls, reviewing and editing community health needs assessment reports, assisting in program evaluation, and conducting quantitative data analysis.

Her research interests include: sociology of minority and vulnerable groups, sense of community, and sociology of health and illness.
