Muneer Khalid, MA graduated from the University of Michigan Ann-Arbor, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology and then completed a Masters of Arts in Education along with his teacher certification. He began with The Family and Youth Institute as an intern and now joins the research team. He is a co-author of the newest FYI book, Uplifting Black Muslim Youth: A Positive Youth Development Approach.
Muneer taught abroad in Dubai, before taking an intervention/ English teaching position at Scarlett IB Middle School in Ann Arbor. Muneer has served with various Muslim youth organizations on a local and national level for the last 10 years with the ultimate goal being to provide them a platform to be able to express themselves.
